This deck remodel is part of a California-modern style home.  A single continuous thin horizontal handrail with spatial and ergonomic gestures wraps around the project.  Over time, the ipe hardwood decking will weather gray while the corten railing posts will gain a rusty orange patina.  Careful detailing and prefabrication allows stainless steel tension cables to pass though the corten posts and avoid corrosion.
